Been sitting there surfing the web or playing a game and then it happens you computer randomly restarts?
Get some tips on these issues after the break.
Random restarts can be cause by many things, your computer's memory, the power supply, etc. Your computer tries to tell you what causing the restart but usually it goes by too fast to read or even it goes too fast for your computer to show you. Follow the steps to help narrow the cause of the restarts.
1) Right-click "My Computer" and click on "Properties" The following screenshot is on a Vista machine.
`
2a) On Windows XP you will get a pop-up box similar to the following, and with tabs running across the top. Click Advance. Now XP and Vista should be on the same page.
2b)Click the settings button listed under "Startup & Recovery"
3) The follow menu will appear with various check boxes, uncheck auto-restart (highlighted), once unchecked click OK, then click OK.
You did it, that's it. Keep in mind this does not fix random restarts but now you computer with show you the actual stop error, to help locate the problem. Stop errors are as followed.
Based on this specfic error I world record the number after STOP 0xD1, the error "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, and do not forget the file at the bottom, in this case, "WXYZ.SYS"
These are examples and may not be the same error you get but record the info as it appears on your screen. and send it to me Tdaw.contact@gmail.com or anyone else you think can help. Doing this will be a great help in solving your issues.
